We live in a world that constantly bombards us with information. But amidst all the noise, are we truly listening—or simply hearing?

Today, July 18th, is World Listening Day, and FIREPOWER wants to honor the power of listening—not just as a skill, but as a mindset. Listening is the doorway to learning, empathy, and meaningful connection. Hearing the noise doesn’t mean we’re receiving the message. Real listening means actively engaging with what’s being communicated, with the intent to understand.

Do you want to become a better listener?

Start by helping those you work with understand how you naturally communicate, and take the time to learn their communication style. Kolbe Wisdom ensures we uniquely understand this. Kolbe identifies and validates your instinctive method of problem-solving—your MO (modus operandi)—which is not only how you tackle challenges, but also how you communicate best.

Here’s how your MO may shape the way you listen and communicate:

If you thrive on gathering information, you need time to gather the details, analyze them, and feel confident in your findings. Your communication will be thoughtful, written, and precise.

If you focus on structure and organization, you prefer clear steps and logical sequences. You communicate best with visual aids—charts, timelines, and diagrams that bring order to the message.

If innovation and possibilities drive you, then you may process ideas by discussing them out loud. You thrive in open dialogue, brainstorming sessions, and forward-thinking conversations.

If you need to see tangible results, you’ll want to demonstrate your thoughts through action. You communicate most effectively through physical examples and real-world applications.

Knowing your instinctive MO will guide your best interactions, helping you communicate effectively with others and listen more attentively.

We removed BlockSelectionClearer and that still did not help.
  2. Publish Dropdown > Selecting date in the future works and shows the right new label for the dropdown button, and applies StatusDropdown button label accurately.
  3. Publish Dropdown > Selecting now works and changes button label back to “Immediately”, and applies StatusDropdown button label accurately.
